Former teacher at several schools in the area, Mrs. Edna Irene Story, 65, died in a Turlock hospital Monday morning after an extended illness.
Born in Albion, Mich., she was a graduate of the Central State Normal school in Michigan about 1893 and taught school in that state until moving to California in 1907.
She had been a teacher at several schools in this vicinity, including Irwin, Stevinson, Cortez, and Fairview.
Mrs. Story was a member of the First Baptist church of Turlock.
Her husband, Phillip E. Story, survives with one son, Vernon of Cedarville, Calif. She also leaves a sister Ada L. Brier, Turlock, and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be arranged by the Drake Memorial chapel.
