Long-Time City Resident Dies
Graveside rites will be conducted from the Norton Mortuary on Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Marguerite Pownell Story, 78, who died yesterday in a local hospital following a short illness.
She was born in Kansas and had beeen a resident of Turlock for 51 years. Mrs. Story attended the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Phillip E. Story of Turlock; a daughter Edna Pownell Pierce of Turlock; a grandaughter, Lorraine Linn of Turlock, a grandson, Clayton Pierce of Salinas; two brothers, three sistes, and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Woodrow Young of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Friends who wish to make contributions should send them to the Emanuel Hospital Memorial Fund.
