Daddy resting for a while from his many chores. He's wearing his painting shirt and didn't even take his boots off because he didn't sit for very long at a time. So many things to do and so little time to get it all done. He enjoyed having company though and would sit and chat for a while. Daddy was the hardest working man that I have ever known. He was respected for his honesty and integrity. His word was his bond and just a hand shake was all that was ever needed to seal a bargain. I think everybody in the county knew Daddy. He was a man among men.

Daddy and Adam, one of his grandchildren, son of his daughter Sharon. Adam is following him into the chicken house. He used to tag along behind him taking every step that his granddaddy did. His name was Joseph Adam, but Daddy always called him "Little Joe". He sure loved that boy just as he loved each of his grandchildren. He always had an affectionate nickname for each grandchild, just like he did for his children. I think Sunday afternoon was Daddy's favorite time of the week because he knew that his children and grandchildren would most likely be coming to visit. He always loved having his family come to visit and would have the best time talking and laughing with them.

Mama's and Daddy's memorials are the two large ones, front row and right of the angel. The angel is facing toward the entrance to the cemetery and the road that leads there to welcome all who come to visit.
