Fred M. Fruechtenicht, 78, widower of Helen, died at 10:15 am Monday at his home. Mr. Fruechtenicht, a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, was retired from City Glass Co.

Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy Jean Moore of Fort Wayne.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at Klaehn's South Anthony Chapel.
