Sarah came to Kansas with her parents, her brother James , and her sister Emma in October, 1868. Two of her older brothers, Charles and John, were already living in Franklin County. Her parents died shortly after the trip to America. One year and one month after she came to Kansas, Sarah married John Hetzel in Ottawa on her 21st birthday. Their children were Minnie, Frank, Fred, Mary Rose, Sarah Pansy, John Sherman, and Benjamin Blaine ---------Hetzel.
