Mr. Walters was an employee of the Southern Railway at Huntingburg. He was a member of Owensville General Baptist Church and the America Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dona Garrison, of Owensville.
Surviving are the widow, Stanza; one son, Gene, one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Barrett, both of Owensville, three sisters, Mrs. Lucretia Madden, Owensville, Mrs. Myrtle Elliott, Hazleton, and Mrs. Ida Douglas, Princeton; two brothers, Elvin, Cynthiana, and Wayne, Princeton.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holder Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Henson and the Rev. Ray Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Owensville Cemetery.
