Pvt. Colishion had participated in the airborne assaults of Sicily on 9 July 1943, Italy on 13 September 1943, and Normandy on 6 June 1944. His last combat jump occured on 17 September 1944, when the 82nd Airborne participeted in the Airborne Invasion of Holland.
