Died of Disease (Broncho Pneumonia), while serving as an Rifleman with Co E. while at AEF Base Hospital #6, Talence (Bordeaux), France on the afternoon of Saturday, October 5th, 1918.
Upon Pvt. Aasland's death, Pvt. Aasland was initially interred at Grave #234, Section B. Temporary American Cemetery, Talence (Bordeaux), France on the afternoon of Sunday, October 6th, 1918, and was finally re-interred at Grave #28, Row #1, Section A. at. Suresnes American Cemetery, Suresnes Haut-de Seine (Paris), France on the afternoon of Monday, October 24th, 1921.
