Reganah/Regena was the daughter of Joseph Fultz/Folts of Shenandoah Co VA, originally from Germany. The German family bible record on file with the DAR states she was born 8 Sep 1791 in Shenandoah Co VA to Joseph Fultz and Maria Elsin. Her first husband was Jacob Hudson with whom she had one son born 6 Dec 1812 after her husband's death. She then married David Wetzel/Whetsel in Shenandoah Co VA according to their marriage bond dated 5 Dec 1812. The couple are listed on the 1820 (Mt. Pleasant, Shen Co) & 1830 census (Western Dist. Shen Co) records for Shenandoah Co VA. The 1840 census places them in Lewis Co, VA . They had property in Lincoln Dist or township in Lewis Co., VA (now WV) -from David Wetzel's will and she was buried in Georgetown, Lewis Co not far from their property as described in David Wetzel's will. No gravesite has been found for David Wetzel/Whetsel, but his will was probated in 1867 Lewis Co WV. He gave $100 to Jacob Hudson, the son born to Raganah around the time of their marriage as well as listed childrenJoseph; George H.; David F.; Adam Miles (dec); Mary Ann Hinzman; and Rebecca Curtis.
