Among the younger set in the Covina valley there is a feeling of sadness this week because of the death of Elmer Overholtzer, son of Mr. D. J. Overholtzer, who passed away at the family residence on West Badillo street Wednesday afternoon. Elmer Overholtzer was twenty-five years old, and was born in the Spadra valley. He was raised in the Covina valley, and educated in the Covina schools. During his youth and young manhood he was a great favorite with his schoolmates, and he gave splendid promise of being one of the leading young men of the community. But he became afflicted with consumption, and for some years had been fighting this dread disease in the mountains of Arizona. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at two o'clock at the Brethren church in Covina and will be attended by a great number of his relatives and friends.
