Howard was the oldest of three children born to Charles Arbuckle and Maud (Pemberton) Boatright. He married Ivy Louise Bainbridge and they were the parents three daughters: June 'Bet', Roberta Charlene, Patsy Vivian.

Word received here announces the death of Howard Boatright, former resident of Brushy community, Sunday at 7 p.m. in Pontiac, Mich.
Mr. Boatright will be remembered by older residents of Harrisburg, having been employed for many years in the furniture store operated by the late O.L. Baker.
The body will be returned here for burial. Definite plans have not been announced.
