Franklin resident Muriel Alexander, 74, died Thursday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after a traffic accident near Franklin Community High School.
A lifelong Johnson County resident, she was born Jan. 6, 1915, to Claud T. and Pearl Belle (Coffman) Short.
She was a dealer with the Alexander Chevrolet dealership in Franklin and a member of the First Baptist Church of Franklin.
Surviving are three daughters, Ellen L. Eisenberg of Indianapolis, Joyce K. Bollweg of Chicago and Myra L. Steinke of Wisconsin; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Franklin First Baptist. The Rev. Dr. Alan G. Trent will officiate. Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana State Libraries' program, "Reading for the Blind."∼Divorced at the time of her death.
