CROWN POINT - Gloria G. Stoddard, 74, of Crown Point, N.Y., passed away peacefully on July 11, 2007, at her home, surrounded with her loved ones by her side after a short battle with cancer.
She was born June 21, 1933, in Auburn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Graham) Sweet.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Benjamin M. Stoddard of Crown Point, N.Y.; and her children, which includes her one son, Steven and Chris Stoddard of Essex Junction, Vt.; and her three daughters, Gail and Mitch St. Pierre of Crown Point, N.Y., Tarrye and Gary Henry of Winslow, Maine, and Jeana Stoddard of Vergennes, Vt.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Shirley Bailey of Crown Point, N.Y., and Rita and Fran Bodzinski of Belchertown, Mass.; and a brother, Frank and Jan Graham of Auburn, N.Y.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Roberts Graham and Douglas Graham; and one nephew, Richard Bailey.
At her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Harland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Moriah Union Cemetery in Moriah, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the AE Phelps Fire & Rescue of Crown Point, N.Y.
