ANDREW S. NEWBERG
Andrew S. Newberg, for many years a resident of this vicinity, died Monday morning at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his son, Alec, north of Villisca.
He was born in Knox County, Illinois on March 10, 1858 and was 65 years at his death. He was married to Emma C. Ekstrand on November 21, 1882, and they came to Iowa in 1890 to make their home. To them were born eight children, two of whom are deceased. Those who with the wife, survived are Frank, Elmer and Alec newberg and Mrs. Ida Olson of near Villisca, Mrs. Minnie Sandall of Denver and George Newberg of Omaha. He leaves also two sisters, Mrs. August Carlson of Williamsfield, Illinois and Mrs. Andrew Peterson and 25 grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. L. Boyd in charge of the service. The singing was by the Misses Fannie Seely and Alice Boyd, and the pall bearers were William Wheeler, George McNeal, Orville Mitchell, Ray darnold, John Mullen, and Bruce Noble and interment was in the Arlington Cemetery.
