She was born to Jay & Doris (Springer) Henke. On Aug. 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Max Hill. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2005. Arlene was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning and was a terrific cook - anything Doug could catch she could cook! She belonged to the Baraboo Quilters, the Homemakers Club, and she and Max both belonged to the Badger Beam Bottle Collectors Club.
She is survived by three sons, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a brother, nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Max, Arlene was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Wendal and Robert Henke.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastors Deb and Steve Ohrtman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or St. Clare Meadows Care Center.
