Roma Brock, 98, of Eubank, passed away, Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Born Monday, January 27, 1908, in Letcher County, to the late Henry C. and Nancy Jane Fields Whitaker, she was a caregiver and homemaker for many years. Sister Roma was a member of Rose of Sharon and founding and charter member of Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Paul R. (and Ruth) Adams of Eubank; two daughters, Geraldine (and Robert) Davis of Muncie, Indiana, Lousie (and Odell) Blair of Springboro, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Roma was preceded in death by eight brothers, Rufus, Soloman, Thomas, Hendrix, George, Outing, Orbin, and Granville Whitaker; and two sisters, Cinda Adams, and Anna Bryant.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, at Rose of Sharon Old Regular Baptist Church, Waynesburg, Ky., with the Bros. Murl Caudill, Marcus Huff and Bob Whitaker officiating.

Memorials are preferred to Rose of Sharon Old Regular Baptist church or Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
