Born in Adams County on October 7, 1907, he was the son of Charles and Suzannah Johnson-Arnold, and was united in marriage on February 2, 1929 to Lela Schlickman, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jim, Route 4, Decatur; Darrel, Route 2, Decatur; Harold, Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Lewellyn (Margaret) Stucky, Berne; Mrs. Naomi Bieberich, Route 2, Decatur; three brothers, John, Route 4, Decatur; Frank, Decatur; Luther, Route 2, Decatur; 10 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Dwight Hargett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Saturday. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
