Her parents are Michael Nickel & Gottliebe Teschke.
At the age of 19 1/2 years she married Carl Zuchowski at Bischofswerder,
Germany. There were four children born of this union in Bischofswerder. Marie
and Gustav died before the family elected to immigrat to the U.S.A.

Eva immigrated to the U.S. at the age of twenty three years, aboard the S.S.
Utopia sailing from London to New York arriving on Decemebr 21, 1880 with her
husband and two sons three year old August and three month old Michael. The family resided in the Cleveland, Ohio area for period of five years where Charles was born in 1884, then the family moved to Larkin Twp, Midland Co, where Emma was born in 1888 and then to Ingham Co of Michigan.

All of the children of Eva & Karl Zuchowski were born as Zuchowski. When Karl died in 1891 and their mother remarried on Mar 27, 1892, the step father Emil Bensch changed the names of the four surviving children to Schuchaskie for clarity. So August, Michael, Charles and Emma names became Schuchaskie.
