MARCIANO, Angie (71) of Safety Harbor, FL. passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her home after a long illness surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on February 4th 1939, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Lillian (Johnston) Libasci. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Frankie T. Marciano whom she loved and missed dearly.
When Angie was younger, she modeled for Barbizon in N.Y.C. her and her husband Tom owned and operated a restaurant and dry cleaners in Glendale Queens N.Y. along with Tom working for American Airlines. Later on they moved to Levittown, L.I. and she worked for Nassau County Police Dept.
In 1973, because of Angie's father's illness they moved with the family to upstate N.Y. Angie and Tom owned and operated Antones Inn which was very successful. She also worked for Continental Ins. comp. for several years.
Years later Angie and Tommy moved to Florida because of her health. She continued working the insurance field and was employed with Merrill Lynch. Angie enjoyed her family and her love was unconditional.
She loved to cook, bake crochet, swim, travel, listen to Italian music, watch all the dancing and Ice Skating shows and most of all, spending time with the love of her life, Tom. She was involved with different activities in Briar Creek Park and was a member of the Briarettes. She and her friends enjoyed a lot of outings together. Angie had a lot of love for animals and belonged to the pet Humane Society and gave generous donations. She always had a beautiful smile and knew how to put one on your face.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas S. Marciano of Safety Harbor, Fl. A son, Thomas S. Marciano Jr. and his wife Lisa of Springhill Fl. Two daughters, Lori Marciano of Lake Vanare N.Y. and Donna Moors of Glens Falls N.Y. One sister, Mary Drautz who was predeceased by her loving husband Andy of Smithtown L.I. Her loving Grandchildren, Glenn, Diana, Coty, Jacqueline, Joseph, Thomas, Sarah, Amanda, Jamie, David and her great grandchildren. She talked to Gavin on the phone quite a bit and got the biggest kick out of him.
Angie had some very close and dear friends, Thelma, Frankie, Joan and John, Beverly, Mary who stayed by her side at all times.
The family would like to Thank Hospice for the loving care they gave to Angie in her final days.
Family and Friends may call August 12, 2010 from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8. A funeral service will be conducted August 13, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home. 2860 Sunset Point Road Clearwater, Fl
