OBITUARY :
MRS. BETTY J. PUNT, 59, of 415 Locust Court, Hagerstown, widow of Leo L. Punt, Jr., died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, Feb. 5, in her home. She had been in failing health for a number of years, and her death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born March 25, 1931, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Mrs. Leila (Sharrah) Fleagle, Smithsburg, and the late Lloyd Fleagle. Her early life was lived in Waynesboro and Smithsburg.
She and her husband were married in October 1946, and from 1959 to 1984 they made their home in Baltimore. They moved to the present residence in the Funkstown area of Hagerstown in 1985.
Mr. Punt died in March 1988.
Mrs. Punt was a member of the, Church of Christ, Hagerstown.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Larry L. Punt of Edgewood, Md., Terry L. Punt of Waynesboro and Donald E. Punt of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and these sisters and brothers, Mrs. Louella Eyler of Hagerstown, Mrs. Mildred Minnick and Terry Fleagle, both of Smithsburg, Roy Fleagle of Crestview, Fla., Orville Fleagle of Waynesboro and Mrs. Linda Hahn of Ringgold.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m Thursday in the Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
