Roger "Tiny" Banks, 62, of Washington, died at 11:20 p.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He was born June 2, 1948, in Bedford, the son of Frank and Lorene (Greer) Banks. He was raised by his stepmother, Grace (York) Banks. He married Marilyn Jo Dean of September 29, 1978 and she survives.
He was retired from the Gene B. Glick Corporation. He attended Lawrence County schools and is a member of the First Baptist Chruch.
Surviving with his wife, Marilyn Jo Banks, of Washington; are daughters, Cynthia Banks of Bloomington and Melissa Clark of Bluffton; sons, Robert and David Sowder of Bloomington and Chris Banks of Washington; two brothers, Mack Banks of Fayetteville and Chet Banks of Bloomington; his father and mother-in-law, Rollin and Helen Dean of Washington and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, a sister, Wanda Jackson; four brothers, John, Franklin, Jim and Bill Banks; and three infant siblings.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gill Funeral Chapel in Washington with the Rev. Tim Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Chet Banks, Kenny Mullin, Dean Buchheit, Mike Overstreet, Brad Purcell and Scott Banks.
