ROCKWOOD Mayble P. Archey, 95, of the Eureka Community, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2011.She was born July 7, 1916 in Park City, Ky., to Joseph and Violet Rutherford Herron. Mrs. Archey was a member of First Christian Church of Rockwood and she attended Mid-East Community Action Agency. She worked at the Eureka Elementary Cafeteria and was an avid community volunteer with the Election Commission, Meals on Wheels, The Clothes Closet, and First Christian Church Nursery. Mrs. Archey was full of life and loved by family and friends and will be sadly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Archey; brother, Joseph Cutliff; sisters, Noreen Kith, Josie Cutliff, Edith Alexander; sons, Charles L. Archey and Bob Archey; grandchildren, Bob Archey Jr., Lisa Johns, Michael Lere and James E. Archey.Survivors include son, Jim Archey, Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia McCoy; brother, Retired Rev.
