Mrs. Powell attended the University of South Carolina. She was a homemaker and a past member of Parents without Partners.
Barbara is survived by her husband of Hanahan; son David R. Moorer, IV, Hanahan; two daughters; Teresa Powell Hilton and Marsha Lynn Powell, both of Charleston; sister, Betty F. Bentley (Pat) of Summerville; six grandchildren: Cade Aloisi, Courtney Aloisi, Connor Aloisi, Michelle Lovins, Phillip Amerson and Ashley A. Wheeler; sister-in-law Lolly Fabian, Mt. Pleasant; beloved nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her first husband David R. Moorer, III, her daughter Jean Elizabeth Moorer Aloisi and her brother George W. Fabian, Jr.
Interment was in Riverview Memorial Park.
