Seaman Neeley, 84, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, in Arlington. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, with Pastor Ricky Knight officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Seaman was born April 5, 1926, in Poteau, Okla., to George and Grace Ray Neeley. He was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Grand Prairie in 1953. Seaman was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was a graduate of Dallas School of Mortuary Science and went to work at Moore Funeral Home and later Southland in Grand Prairie. Later Seaman went to work at LTV as a computer programmer and retired in 1988. He enjoyed gardening at his home in Berryville. He was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Neeley, in 2008. Survivors: Daughter, Sharon Wheetley (Lanier) of Arlington; son, Mike Neeley of Arlington; sisters, Inez Willbanks, Ruth Willis and Irene Manuel; grandchildren, Robby Harbuck (Connie), Jeff Harbuck (Melinda), Jeremy Neeley (Nora), Cody Neeley and Amber Dixon; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Harbuck (Holly), Miranda Maggard, Ethan, Caleb and Alex Harbuck, Taylor Carr and Mia Neeley.
