Born in Lincolnton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late William Horace Kay and Zena Wright Kay. She was a charter member of Dry Oak Assembly of God and was a homemaker.
Surviving are sons, Elbert Edgar Babb and wife, Marsha, of Shelby, NC, and Gary Babb and wife, Diane, of Canton, Ga; a daughter, Brenda K. Babb, of Greenville; a brother, Charles Kay, of Honea Path; stepdaughters, Juanita Campbell and husband, William, and Martha Moody and husband, Ralph, both of Greenville, Frances Holliday and husband, Edward, of Belton and Sybil Smith and husband, Billy, of Hickory Tavern; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Dry Oak Assembly of God, with the Rev. Ernest Oliver officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home.
