Age 85, was a member of the Religious Teachers Filippini, Villa Walsh, Morristown, NJ. She entered the convent in 1935. In 1969, Sister Filomena attended Teachers College at Columbia University in NYC, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Art Education. In 1970 she obtained a master's degree in Art Education, also at Columbia. She was also principal of St. Nicholas in Palisades Park from 1961-1964.
