Mrs. Henry W. Underhill, of 201 Amesbury Ave., passed away Friday night, Nov. 29, 1968 in a local hospital. Born Aug. 23, 1925 in Mullins, S.C., daughter of Mrs. Elma Huggins Allread and the late Walter Allread. She was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church, past president of the Charlotte Woman's Traffic Club, a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, she was active in Scout work and active in the YMCA program. She is survived by her husband; one son, Gerald of the home; her mother, Mrs. Elma Allread of Mullins; two brothers, Walter Allread of Mullins, Ernest Allread of Charlotte. Funeral services 3 p.m. Sunday, Amity Presbyterian Church, officiating the Rev. Fred C. Holder, her pastor. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers Jimmy Plott, Frank Therrell, William Kidd, William Austin, L. M. Simms, and Evans Huss. Mrs. Underhill will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Arrangements by McEwen.
