MULLINS - Ernest Franklin Allread, 64, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 30, 2010 with his wife and daughter at his side.

He was born in Marion County to the late Walter and Elma Allread. Mr. Allread was a graduate of Mullins High School and Dell Institute of X-Ray and Lab Technology. He was the owner of Allread Construction Company to which he devoted thirty years of his life. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and a lifetime supporter of Center Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Allread, Jr. and one sister, Margaret Allread Underwood.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Cheryl C. Allread of Mullins; and one daughter, Margaret Chase Allread of Savannah, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the With Hope Chapel of Wildlife Action Education Center in the Fork Retch Community of Mullins. Burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Mullins.
