Served in Maryland Provincial Convention and as a Justice of the Peace from Cecil County, Maryland. Buried at Polk Cemetery near Rising Sun, Maryland. Polk Cemetery destroyed. Marker placed by EWING Descendants, members of Alaska Chapter and Col. John Mitchell Chapter, Alaska Society, NSDAR, CAR and SAR and Charity Stille Langstaff Chapter, Missouri Society NSDAR. Erected October 1998 at the Ewing Plot at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cecil County, Maryland.
