Death of Mrs. Jas. B. Allison.

Katherine Steamm was born in Beaver Co., Pa, Sept; 15 1815, and died at Mutual, Okla., Mar. 12 1909; aged ninety three years, five months and twenty seven days. She was married in 1833 in Butler Co. Pa. to James B. Allison. In 1855 they left Pennsylvania and drifted Westward, with the tide of emigration, and finally settled on a farm in Dallas Township, DeKalb Co Mo. in 1868; where they lived until the death of her husband in 1897. After his death she made her home with her son, at Mutual, Okla. To this union were born thirteen children, the following six of whom are still living; Geo. H. Allison, Sylvia, Kansas; Edwin R. Allison, Mutual, Okla; Benj. J. Allison, Frankfort, Kansas; Wm. C. C. Allison, McFall, Mo; T. J. Allison, Maysville, Mo; and Christiana S. Hall, Bluejacket, Okla. In 1844 she united with the Presbyterian church at Concord, Pa. and in 1871 united with the United Brethern church in DeKalb Co. and remained a member of such until her death. She was a loving and faithful wife, and a true mother, and was honored and esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral services were conducted at the Hopewell Baptist church near Weatherby, Mo; on Monday, March 14 1909, by the Rev. G. C. White, of Fairport, Mo; after which the remains were laid to rest in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Dies At Ripe Age

Mr. E. R. Allison's mother died Friday night at the hour of ten, after an illness of only about one week. Mrs. Allison was ninty - three years old on last September. Her remains were shipped back to her old home place for burial at Weatherby, Mo. Mr. Allison has the spmpathy of the entire community in his bareavement.
