She was the beloved mother of Kerri J. Blache (Michael), Leonard Vincent Jones (Pam) and Michael William Jones (Stephanie); grandmother to Shane, Brad, Alexi, Chloe, Olivia and Keira; and sister to Charles and Frankie Ruffino.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard William Jones Jr.; mother, Anna Tamburello Ruffino; and father, Vincent Ruffino.
A kind and loving person, she was 72. She was a native of New Orleans, having grown up in the French Quarter, and she was a resident of Madisonville for the past 16 years. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and Charity School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was an avid reader, especially of "The Urantia Book."
The Mass of Christian Burial was yesterday at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mandeville. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 West 21st Ave., Covington. The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to Hospice of St. Tammany. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to E.J. Fielding Funeral Home.
