Mrs. Minnie Pierce Braunel, life long Manitowoc County resident,
died Friday morning following a heart attack at her home in
Manitowoc Rapids. She was 76.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. A.C. Fischer officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Minnie DePons was born in Manitowoc Jan. 9, 1878, and
was married to Fred Pierce Nov. 7, 1905. He died in 1918. She was
married to Edwin Braunel, Jan. 12, 1932.
Survivors include the husband, six step-daughters, Mrs. August Frey
of Waukesha, Mrs. Ewald Sonnevik of Norway, Europe, and Mrs. Arthur
Jorash, Mrs. Hans Gulseth, Mrs. Alfred Bast and Miss Luella Braunel
of Manitowoc; three step-sons, Ray Braunel of Chicago and Arthur
and Lenert Braunel of Manitowoc; a brother, Henry DePons of Manitowoc; and a sister, Mrs. Stanley Pierce of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
