DECATUR DAILY November 15, 1997

Funeral for Clifford Loftin, 71, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Willis and Jeff Howard officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive frinds tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Loftin died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Putnam to Earl Loftin and Jessie Loftin Bates. He was board president of the North Central Alabama Mental Retardation Authority, Inc., was a board member and the fund-raising committee chairman of the City of Opportunity Civitan Club and was a member of the Morgan County Association for Retarded Citizens, where he served as board member, vice president, treasurer and membership chairman.

He was a board member for Friends of the Wallace Center, and a board member and treasurer of the Center for the Developmentally Disabled of North Central Alabama. He was retired after 38 years of civil service as supervisor and budget analyst for the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal.
