Mary Comfort Colborn was born in Upper Canada, June 10, 1826. She married Abram Colborn in the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Norwich, Oxford, Ontario on December 27, 1849. The same date, in the same church, Stephen Comfort and Mary Jane Parker were married. The two couples witnessed for each other. Presumably Stephen and Mary Comfort were brother and sister. Mary and Abram moved to Merrimack, Wisconsin in 1854 and settled on and farmed 170 acres there in 1867, where they raised 6 sons and 3 daughters.
