Born about 1767 in probably Anson (now Montgomery County), North Carolina, USA.
In the fall of 1785 (not verified but their oldest child, Ezekiel, was born 18 July 1786 so it is probable) Sarah married Gabriel D. Smith, Sr., in Anson (now Montgomery County), North Carolina, USA. They had twelve children.
Sarah died before 30 September 1837 (date of Gabriel's second marriage to Matilda (Chandler) Carter in Carroll County, Georgia, USA.
Sarah is said to be buried in an unmarked grave in Old Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (Horsley Cemetery) just north of Bowdon in Carroll County, Georgia, USA. That has never been proven however.
