She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in New Knoxville to William H. and Ida F. Steinecker Meyer, who preceded her in death. She married Lawrence Miller in Ohio, who died in 1971.
Mrs. Miller retired as cleaning supervisor for The Lima News. She was a bookbinder at Commercial Lithograph for 35 years and during that time owned and operated her own beauty shop for 20 years. She was also a private duty nurse for three or four years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, a volunteer for bingo at Loch Haven, a member of the Starlight Club and Lima Senior Citizens, and worked as a caregiver through American nursing.
Survivors include a stepson, Duane (Mary) Miller, of Celina; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Keith) Laux, of Celina, Kevin (Julia) Miller, of Celina, Keith Miller, of Coldwater, and Kraig (Kim) Miller, of Battle Creek, Mich.; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Meyer, of Botkins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara E. Buschor; three brothers, Harold, Walter and Victor Meyer; and three sisters, Evelyn Moeller, Ruth Meyer and Adelma Drake.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Rinehart will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
