Myron Dooley was born in Union County, Iowa, March 19, 1872, and died at his home in Plattsmouth, Neb. June 2, 1933, aged 61 years, 2 months and 14 days.
He moved from Iowa to Nebraska with his parents, when quite a small boy. He was of a family of nine children, of which two brothers and one sister survive him, Turner, of Palmer; Henry O. of Plattsmouth, and Mrs. Mary Baird of Shell Lake, Wis. His twin brother, Byron, died November 4, 1919.
Mr. Dooley was married to Miss Hattie McFarland at her parents' home near Palmer, September 24, 1900. To this union ten children were born, all of whom are living except one son Raymond, who died at the age of two years.
Those at home are Edwin M.; Clayton; Dale; Robert; and one daughter, Mildred. Cecil R. of Geneva, Nebr; Clarence, Glenn and Forrest, all of Plattsmouth, Nebr. They, with his wife and five grandchildren, are left to mourn his passing.
He was a patient sufferer for several months, as loving hands ministered to his needs.
He, with his wife, united with the Methodist Church some years ago, in St. Paul. He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior, desiring his friends to come into his home for prayer.
He passed peacefully away as the morning began to dawn, and the sun rose in splendor over the eastern hills. Our loss is his gain, and we sorrow not as those without hope, though the parting is sad. He will be missed by nephews, nieces and other relatives, as well as a host of friends.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church Saturday, Rev. Geiger officiating, and interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The Dooley family have many friends in this vicinity who sympathize with them in their bereavement.
