Vincent was the son of the late Joseph and the late Vincenza Bosco Aversa. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Vincent was a retired NYPD Mounted Police Officer. Vincent is survived by his wife, Doris Pedrosa Aversa, Sparrowbush, NY. Son, Vincent E. Aversa, Jr. of Sparrowbush, NY. 4 Sisters: Mary Fezza of Brooklyn, NY; Eda Policano and her husband, Joe of Norwood, NJ; Angie Brock of Dumont, NJ and Rose Dougherty and her husband, John of Park Ridge, NJ. 2 Grandchidren: Vincent E. Aversa, III and Nicole Aversa of E. Meadow, NY. His son, Joseph was a NY State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty.
