Obituary for George Hoyer:

Funeral services for George Ray Hoyer, 69, were held Saturday from the United Methodist Church in sundance with the Rev. Gene Hagerman officiating. Burial was in the Beulah cemetery under the direction of the Fidler-Roberts Northeastern Wyoming Funeral Chapel.
Hoyer died February 28, 1978 at his home in Beulah.
He was born September 15, 1908, in the Inyan Kara area near Sundance, the son of John and Lydia (Lull) Hoyer. He was married July 20, 1929, to Betty Christina Sawyer at Belle Fourche, South Dakota. The couple lived at Sundance, Osage and Newcastle before moving to Beulah in 1964. He had been engaged in the ranching and trucking business.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Fern) Burgdorf, Canyon, Texas, Mrs. Keith (Darlene) Taylor, Ekalaka, Montana, Mrs. Mae Evans and Zelma Hoyer, both of Beulah; two sons, Wesley, Sheridan, and Roy, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Wesley (Grace) Nussbaum, Sundance; four brothers, Lawrence, Birmingham, Washington, Ralph, Parker, Colorado, Ed, Denver, Colorado, and Merle, Windsburg, Texas.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, on November 17, 1975, two brothers Wesley and Vernie, and a sister in infancy.
