Mrs. Avis Genevieve Halliday, 79, of Portsmouth, N. H., widow of Wilfred Halliday, died Saturday at her home.
A native of Fleming, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Isaac Coman Buckland and Avis Wyckoff Buckland.
She lived in Greenville, R. I. for more than 30 years before moving to Portsmouth in 1961.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ernest C. Maby of Kittery, Maine; a grandson and several cousins.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at the Franklin G. Wilson Funeral Home, Kittery. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston, R. I.
