Charles Perkins
DAYTON - Charles "Perk"
Perkins, 69, died Friday at his
home at the Dayton Manor
Apartments.
Graveside services will be at
2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the
American Legion plot at the
Dayton City Cemetery.
Perkins was born June 29,
1907 in Nowway, Mich., and
lived there until he joined the
U.S. Marine Corps in 1928.
Following his discharge in
1934, he went to work on the
Grand Coulee Dam construction,
and in later years
worked on virtually every
other Columbia-Snake River
hydro-electric project
He moved to Dayton in about
1965 and worked for Green
Giant and on several area farms.
He had lived here in
semi-retirement because of ill
health for some time.
Perkins is survived by a son,
C.A. Perkins, Jr., of Grand
Coulee; daughters Patricia
Munson of Grand Coulee, and
Carolyn Joy of Spokane, and
four grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the
charge of the Hubbard-Rogg
Funeral Home.
