Peter served in the US Navy as Electricians Mate, aboard the USS Raton (SS270) and the USS Grouper (SSK 214). He attended USN Class Electricians Mate School at Great Lakes, Illinois; and USN Submarine School at New London, Connecticut. He was promoted to Electricians Mate First Class on 16 Oct 1952; he was discharged on 9 Jul 1953.
Peter married Shirley Ann Jacobs 5 Sep 1953 in Hartford, Connecticut. They made their home in Garden City and Dearborn, Michigan, and were the parents of six children. He joined the Burroughs Corporation as an engineer, and eventually transferred to Chester County, Pennsylvania.
He passed away after a brief illness. He was survived by his wife, six children, mother, and three brothers. His father and one brother preceded him in death.
