Feaster Hamilton
HOUSTON - Feaster Hamilton died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Grayson-Porter's Mortuary.

Deacon Feaster Hamilton was the second child of eight born to Feaster Hamilton, Jr., and Nevader Evans Hamilton on July 19, 1944 in Chickasaw, County. He loved and lived life for 63 years. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the members of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Crawford. In his church he grew and became Deacon, Trustee and Treasurer. Shorty, as his friends and family lovingly called him, did many jobs in the community. These included: President of Hamilton-Lipsey MS Chapter Family Reunion; Caretaker of Wesley Chapel Cemetery; Westwood Industries for 26 years.
On February 17, 1973 Feaster was a happy man. This was the day he made Mary Frances Reel his wife. For almost 35 years they shedded tears, laughter but most of all the birth of their daughters Tara (TaTa) and Linda (LuLu) His daughters in return would give him four grandchildren who will always remember their Papa.

He graduated from Chickasaw County High School with the class of 1963. His class still today talk about how he teased his classmates. But his class will be remembered as the class of preachers and leaders for Christ. During Feaster's last days he was still telling jokes but most of all he could be heard telling others about Jesus and happily repeating Psalm 121 and the 23rd Psalm.

Occupation: Westwood Industries for 26 years

Hobbies: He will be most remember for his sharing spirit, the white truck with the blue tail gate could be seen all over Chickasaw, County delivering peas, butterbeans, homemade jelly, watermelons and firewood. Shortly loved to cook and after his mother's death he took on the job of baking Caramel Cake and the famous Butter Roll. And nobody could touch his cooking on the grill.
