Mr. Hershal Hicks, 86, Niangua, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Webco Manor, Marshfield.

Hershal was a life-long farmer and dairyman. He was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church near his farm home East of Niangua.

Survivors include his wife, Lela; three sons, Danny Hicks and wife, Claudia and Richard Hicks and wife Jan, all of Niangua, and Charles Hicks and wife Beth, Golden City, Mo.; one daughter, Deborah Keeling and her husband Bruce, Chicago; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Hicks Strader, Bolivar; a son-in-law, Kenneth Darnell, Chicago; a brother, Arlin Hicks and his wife Avis, Moline, IL; one sister, Ivazine Buttram, Grovespring; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Hicks will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 in Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Roy Cantrell and Rev. Keith Adamson officiating. Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Prospect Cemetery.
