Lillian (Meyers) Rappaport, 82, of 145 Wheeler Ave. died Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center. She was the secretary and bookkeeper at Meyers Bros. Certified Public Accounts for many years. Born here, she was a lifelong resident, and was graduated from the High School of Commerce. She worshipped at the Sinai Temple, and belonged to the Jewish Community Center and its Silver Foxes and Belles. Her husband, William Rappaport, died in 1996. She leaves two sons, Robert and Gary of Longmeadow; three brothers, Benjamin of Longmeadow, and Raymond and Maurice of Springfield; three sisters, Sarah Weber of Springfield, Ida Garber of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Sylvia Kaplan of Margate, Fla., and five grandchildren. There will be a graveside service this afternoon at City of Homes Cemetery , and Harold R. Asher & Son Memorial Chapel is in charge. The memorial observance will be this evening and Thursday evening at the 197 Academy Drive, Longmeadow, home of Gary Rappaport. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 53 Capital Drive, West Springfield, 01089, or the Pioneer Valley Hospice and Visiting Nurse Association, PO Box 9058 Springfield, 01102-9058.
