Mrs. Pousson was a native of Crowley and lifelong resident of Iota. She was cafeteria manager at St. Francis Elementary School for seventeen years and food service technician at St. Michael School for three years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary and First Derrick Camping Club.
Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:00 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Pousson is survived by her husband of 67 years, Elridge J. Pousson of Iota; two daughters, Gloria P. Quebodeaux of Toledo Bend, Fay P. Vasseur of Eunice; two sons, Bob Pousson and his wife Kathleen of Toledo Bend, Bill Pousson and his wife Sherry of Moss Bluff; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Eva M. Smith; one brother, Ernest Smith; son-in-law, Joe Quebodeaux; two great-grandsons, Lindon and Logan Pousson.
