Parker - Mrs. Caroline Parker died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kitty Oglesbay at Harper Thursday, May 10th, at the age of 71 years. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Mayfield Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. M. Parkhurst, and interment was made in the Mayfield cemetery.

Deceased was born in Iowa, October 11, 1851, and was married with quite young. In 1868 she came with her husband, John H. Parker, to Sumner county, Kansas, and homesteaded a farm near Mayfield. They continued to live on this farm until ten years ago, when they moved to Beaver county, Oklahoma, where three years later Mr. Parker died. Since that time Mrs. Parker had made her home with her children.

She is survived by nine children and five brothers. The children are: Kitty Oglesbay, of Harper; Mrs. Myrtle Lamb, Charles Parker and Mrs. Maude Coon, of Mayfield; James and Frank Parker, of Gate, Oklahoma and Inez Ammann, of Elkhart. The brothers are: J.N. Maddy and J.L. Maddy, of Jefferson, Oklahoma; T.C. Maddy, of Orange, Texas; G.E. Maddy, of San Bernadino, California, and D.C. Maddy, of Wellington.
