Sweet Tempered
Loved to Nuzzle
Loved apples
Gentle
Patient with stupid kids

Skipper was our summer friend, he spent summers with us in New Hampshire. Gentle and easy for children to ride, he was a very lovable horse.

One summer morning we found he had escaped and somehow ended up at a farm several miles away on a hidden back dirt road. My poor brother Jerry had to ride him all the way back to his corral down busy streets.

How Skipper navigated those roads during the night is unknown. But I think he had a really good time doing it!

When I was very small, I fell off Skipper because of branch hitting my face. My dad, a believer of ... "if you fall off a horse you get right back on".... picked me up by pants and plopped me back on Skip's bare back. Skipper looked over his shoulder and gave me a very definite, "look where you are going dummy" and proceeded down the path. I quickly got the message...

What a sweet soul he had.

THANK YOU Sherri for sponsoring this sweet litte horse.
