Mrs. Lottie Randolph

New Lexington- Mrs. Lottie Randolph, 80, of Columbus, former resident of New Lexington, retired agricultural administrator, died Wednesday (January 24) at her home.

Mrs.Randolph served as assistant director of Agriculture under Governor John Bricker and Gov. Thomas Herbert, special assistant to the secretary of Agriculture, Ezra Taft Benson in the United States Department of Agriculture during the Eisenhower administration, was a member of the First Community Church, past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Lexington, was active in Republican committee work and was a former real estate agent.

Mrs. Randolph is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Mary) James of Columbus and Mrs. Maurice (Frances) Hall of LaGrange, Illinois; two half-sisters, Mrs. William Watts and Mrs. Evelyn Randolph of Columbus; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband Frank M.Rudolph preceded her in death.

(Mrs. Randolph was among the first nine women to be inducted in the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame in 1978. She was also the first woman to be inducted in the Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame that same year.
Mrs. Randolph was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1936 and a daughter, Mabel Randolph Sines in 1946.)
