Forgo was a 7 times Eclipse Award winner:
Eclipse Award for Outstanding Older Male Horse- 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977; Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year -1974, 1975 and 1976; and Eclipse Award for Outstanding Sprint Horse- 1974. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1979.
